Just now I’ve told you things that no one knows. It’s something you need to know, anecdotes that need to come out. Now with everything I’ve told you, I feel calm. I’ve also been able to remember things that are in the past – nice things, too, that needed to be remembered. It has been a pleasure. I am proud to see that other people from other countries come to visit. They come here to Potosí most of all to know all the places, until they get to the Uyuni Salt Flat. They want to visit them; they want to know them, don’t they? I feel proud because there are other people who give more importance to the heritage that we have in Potosí. I feel so proud because they come to visit us.

[When] they arrive, they need someone to guide them. It’s like us in La Paz – we do not know where we are or where we have to go. It’s the same. [But] only the government benefits, because the government is the one that takes charge of everything. As they have said, they are wanting to pass the Mint to the government as well. From what I heard, the city – the governor, the mayor – they were taking over. But now the [national] government says that it was asking for it to be transferred to them. Let [the Palestinians] go forward and continue strong so that Israel does not take things away. Their places belong to them. [I hope] that they become strong, all of them.  – Cathy
